Playing to Expectations

Playing to Expectations

Expectations are tough. Coaches have expectations. Fans have expectations. We have expectations. We certainly did not expect to be going into Week 7 with 4 losses. We demand more of ourselves. We are going into our game with the Browns on Sunday knowing that we are far better than what our record says. We have spent all week working hard in practice so we can execute like the team that we know we are.

Likewise, we know that the Browns did not expect to be where they are at this point in the season. No team is prepared to have to deal with having injuries to your first and second string QBs. No team expects to be winless at almost the halfway point of the season. We know Cleveland is hungry for a win and after watching film this week, we know the the Browns will be a dangerous team for us this week.

The Browns D might be a young group, but they have some studs all across that side of the ball. Joe Haden is one of the best corners in the game. He has always fought hard against us and we know that he loves the challenge of taking on AJ on every snap. Danny Shelton is a mammoth nose tackle who is an absolute load in the middle of that defense.

I am looking forward to seeing Coach Jackson again this week. He’s a guy that I have learned a lot from on and off the field. I’m glad he’s able to do what he loves by being a head coach in this league. We know that any team he’s leading will be prepared for us come Sunday afternoon.

Hope to see plenty of you guys in The Jungle on Sunday. Let’s roar!!
