Several Cincinnati Bengals players are approaching career milestones. As they do that, they are becoming some of the elite Bengals to ever play their positions.
Running back Jeremy Hill has 2,479 career rushing yards. Running back Giovani Bernard has 2,421 career rushing yards. Hill has spent all three of his NFL seasons with the Bengals; Bernard has spent all four of his NFL seasons with the Bengals. Only 11 players in Bengals franchise history (a history that goes back to 1968) have run for over 2,500 yards. That list is likely to grow by two in the next week or two.
Wide receiver A.J. Green was the Bengals’ first round draft pick in 2011. He had 1,057 receiving yards his rookie season. He also had over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his next four seasons, with a high of 1,426 receiving yards in 2013. Green currently has 49 career touchdown receptions. Only three other players in Bengals franchise history have at least 50 career touchdown receptions. In 2016, Green has 964 receiving yards through nine games. This next game, Green will likely become only the second player in NFL history to have over 1,000 receiving yards in his first six seasons. He is already the second leading receiver in Bengals franchise history.’
Mike Nugent, now in his seventh year as the Bengals’ kicker, made two field goals in Week 10 against the New York Giants. Nugent’s second field goal was his 150th career field goal as a Bengal. He is just the fourth kicker in Bengals’ franchise history to reach that milestone.
Nugent reached his milestone in Week 10; expect other players to reach their milestones in the Bengals’ Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills.
