Miami Dolphins’ Jarvis Landry competes in the ‘How Hard Challenge’

Several different athletes and stars have competed in the “How Hard Challenge”. Osi Umenyiora of the New York Giants was another American footballer to participate.

The challenge took place at the England soccer club, Tottenham Hotspurs’ training ground. After sharing an inventive handshake, Landry lined up a penalty shot, approximately 12 yards from the goal.

Fortunately he didn’t have to actually put the ball in the net for his speed to count Landry took a running start and although the ball flew over the crossbar he scored 56 mph.

Then in an attempt to focus all of his anger into the kick, Landry was asked what he hated. His answer, “baking.” By channeling his hatred of baking into his next kick, Landry was able to scorch a shot (once again over the crossbar) of 66 mph, which tied him with Tottenham legend Ledley King and put him well ahead of Umenyiora who clocked out at only 49mph.

Landry said about besting his fellow NFL player’s score, “That’s perfect. That’s where we were going for the day.”
