When Jarvis Landry scored his game winning touchdown against the Tennesse Titans last Sunday, the Dolphins wide receiver celebrated in a humbling manner.
Instead of doing a dance, waiting for teammates to jump on him, or creating a funny scene in the end zone, Landry ran for the stands looking for a young fan who received the football.
“And that changed his life,” Landry said. “Did you see that video?”
Landry’s inspiration came from an old video of Dan Marino amd Mark Clayton handing out a football to a young boy in the Orange Bowl. 30 years later Marino reunited with that fan, Gary Baumwoll, and the moment influenced Landry.

Baumwoll was filmed in a Dolphins promo saying that the excitement of the moment was never lost, and Landry hopes he made the same impact on the young boy he picked out of the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.
“Maybe something comes out of that,” Landry said. “Maybe he’s a lifelong Dolphins fan because of that. So I think when you celebrate, you don’t have to always have animation.
“I was just showing some love.”
