Execution is Key

Execution is Key

Sunday night’s win over Green Bay was a solid team win. Overall, I think we executed well on offense and moved the ball. The passing game was on point once again. The screen game looked really good and we gained some tough yards when the offense really needed them.

The defense— the defense played a great game against one of the best QBs ever. For us to have a chance in the game, the defense had to take care of business, and they did. I don’t know what the stat sheet says, but I think the scoreboard says it all.

We have a very good team. Like everyone else in the league, we’ve dealt with some injuries this season. It hasn’t been easy, but we’ve survived them. We’re still not 100 percent healthy but we’re getting better as the weeks go on and that’s all you can ask for.

With New England up next, we got our work cut out for us. We need to bring it and deliver a great all-around game. Their offense has plenty of playmakers but our defense has enough to counter that.

I have no doubt that our defense is going to give them a serious challenge this week. For us to win, we’re going to have to do our part on offense. The Patriots are a team that’s always going to put up some points. We just have to make sure we put up more.

Our coaches will figure out a way for us to do just that. It will be up to us to execute the plan and make it happen.
