It didn’t end how I wanted but my 6th year in the NFL was still a success. Anytime you can make it through another season in this league with your health, it’s a successful year.
Plus I also got to welcome my son into the world so that made this year extra special. That truly gave me something more to play for.
Heading into the season we definitely had plans of playing in February but it everyone knows that in this league things doesn’t always go as planned. It just makes you that much hungrier going into the next season. This year left a bad taste in our mouth so we’re going to make sure we don’t feel that again.
This offseason will be about rest, recovery and preparing for 2019. I’ll look at the film, see what I can improve on and work on that to be my best self. The grind truly never stops. I’d really like the opportunity to compete with and against Dalvin again next season. I do think we can be a force in the backfield.
In terms of my future, I’m not sure yet where I’ll be next season. I’d love to be back. I love everything about the Vikings: the team, the organization, the locker room. I believe in what they’re doing here. We’ll see what happens.
I’d like to take this time to thank all my fans for supporting me. Having a platform like Latavius.com allows me to share my thoughts directly with you and I can’t thank you enough.
