Prepping For Sunday Night Football

As much as I miss the routine that comes with getting ready for a game, I do appreciate the benefits of having a bye at this point in the season. We are over the halfway point. Even if you haven’t spent much time in the trainer’s room, your body could use a break.

So, yeah—the timing of the bye week was great for us this season. I know I feel better coming back. My body feels better; my mind feels better. I’m ready to go. With a team like Chicago coming up Sunday Night, we are going to need everyone to be as physically and mentally strong as possible.

Is this a must-win game? There is too much football left to be played this season to call it that. However, it is a division game. A win would move us into first place. Like I said, there is a lot of football left, so that doesn’t really mean a lot. But it would put us in the driver’s seat and in control of our own fate.

These guys are one of our biggest rivals which makes a win that much sweeter.

Beating Chicago is not going to be easy. They have a lot of good, young talent on both sides of the ball—but so do we. I’m confident our defense will be up to the challenge against their offense.

But the coaches will come up with a great game plan. We’ll implement it at practice. Sunday night, we will be ready for whatever they want to throw at us. As long as we execute, everything will be alright in the end.
