Leah Pritchett is on pace to do something no one in the history of the Top Fuel division has been able to accomplish: win three straight races to start off a season.

After besting Doug Kalitta at the season-opener in Pomona and Brittany Force two weeks ago at Phoenix, Pritchett is poised to score her third victory in a row, buoyed by her confidence in her team and her equipment.

“I’d like to be capped off on a confidence level because this sport is extremely humbling and it can turn at any moment,” Pritchett said. “So I like the confidence that we have right now because it’s not too high. We’re double-checking each other’s work in a very positive way. The thing I’m most impressed about is how well our team is working together and how much we enjoy working together.”

Pritchett currently leads the Top Fuel standings by 92 points over Tony Schumacher.
