News / 06.07.2016 Giants' Odell Beckham ranked 10th-best player in the NFL
Odell Beckham Jr.'s star continues to rise. The Giants' wide receiver was ranked as the 10th-best player in the NFL in the NFL Network's annual countdown of the top 100 players in the league, as voted on by the players.
Beckham, who is entering his third season in the NFL, jumped up the list after being ranked No. 32 last year. The 23-year-old was the youngest player in the top 10.
Beckham had 96 catches for 1,450 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He has averaged 93.5 catches, 1,377.5 yards and 12.5 touchdowns in his first two seasons in the NFL. Beckham has more receiving yards (2,755) in his first two seasons than any other player in NFL history.
Beckham was one of three wide receivers to make the top 10. Falcons' wide receiver Julio Jones (No. 8) and Steelers' wide receiver Antonio Brown (No. 4) ranked ahead of Beckham in the player vote that was announced on Wednesday night.
A tweet sent by Beckham shortly after his ranking was announced seemed to indicate that he believes he should have been higher on the list.
Beckham can take solace in the fact that he finished one spot ahead of Redskins cornerback Josh Norman. Beckham and Norman had an infamous battle during last season's matchup between the Giants and Norman's former team, the Panthers.
Quarterback Eli Manning was the only other Giant to make the top 100 this year. Manning checked in at No. 47 after missing the cut the previous two years.
Beckham's finish is the highest for any Giant since the NFL Network started the top 100 rankings in 2011.

5. Vikings RB Adrian Peterson
