A Season of Growth

A Season of Growth

It was tough to have my season cut short with an injury last year. Even though it was hard not being able to get on the field with my guys, I was happy to see things start to turn around when we made the trade for Jimmy. Being able to climb out of the slump we were in and to get some wins under our belt has made us hungry to put in more work to get ready for this season.

Once I got healed up in the off season, I got back to training in January so that I could be bigger, stronger, and faster than I was before the injury. It is exciting to know that I will finally get to step on the field with Jimmy this season. He is a special quarterback who has a natural ability to get the ball to his receivers on time and in space so that we can make plays.

I really do feel like our receiver group has some talented, young guys that are looking to make their mark on the league. Kendrick Bourne is a guy that has done a great job of asking me questions and learning what it takes to be a pro. He came up into the league with a lot of talent. He can catch the ball really well and he gets in and out of his breaks incredibly fast. Dante is another talented, young guy who has a lot of speed and agility to go with an uncanny ability to make defenders miss.

Everyone on this team looks like they are growing and that includes Coach Shanahan. Compared to last season he seems much more comfortable. That’s something that comes from experience and it shows in the growth he has made over the past year. You can see that sort of growth all over this team and it is going to make a huge difference for us as we are looking to take the next step as a team. We are focused and ready.
