Limiting Turnovers

Limiting Turnovers

It feels good to be starting another week and chasing after another opportunity to get a win. Even though we haven’t had as much success as we’ld want, we know this team is a lot closer to being in playoff contention than a lot of people think. We’re not going to let what other people think to keep us from getting after it from week to week.

This season is definitely not lost. There’s plenty of time left in the season and we just have to take it one game at a time. We have to keep plugging away at the little things that can help us get better as individuals and as a team. We have to giving our all and leaving everything on the field for the games we have left on our schedule.

One of our keys moving forward is to stop turning over the ball as much as we have been. We know it’s an issue and we have tried to constantly reinforce that in practice. Our defense does a great job of helping us with that when we are on the practice field. They’ll  be physical with us and you always see them trying to punch at the ball when they’re trying to make a tackle. There’s no excuse for us to turn the ball over. The ball means everything to us and we have to treat it like that.

We have to be aware of the turnover situation as we prepare for the Cardinals this week. They’re an aggressive bunch and they’re not going to hesitate to try to rip the ball away. I know we can do a better job of that and I am looking forward to going against Patrick Peterson. He’s an elite corner who can match up with any receiver in the league. I can’t wait to get on the field for this division game and come away with a win.
