Sammy Watkins was born June 14, 1993 in Fort Myers, Florida. He is an electric Wide Receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, of the National Football League. In high school he lettered in football, basketball, and track and became the all time leading receiver in the history of Lee County. Sammy played college football for Clemson University where he won multiple awards for his play. During his junior year, he lead Clemson to the Orange Bowl, receiving MVP honors, and also broke an Orange Bowl record with 16 receptions for 227 yards.
Watkins declared for the 2014 NFL Draft and was subsequently drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft as the 4th overall pick. He set franchise rookie records in receptions (65) and receiving yards (982) and finished the 2014 season with 6 touchdowns. He played his first three seasons with the Buffalo Bills and will continue his career this season with a new home with the Los Angeles Rams.
