Six Chiefs players have been named to the 2019 Pro Bowl.
This comes following the end of fan voting where Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ranked No. 2 overall, and receiver Tyreek Hill ranked No. 10 overall. Some other Chiefs players were among top-voted at their respective positions.
Ultimately this turned into 6 Chiefs selected for the 2019 Pro Bowl. That’s tied for the second-most in the NFL with the Steelers. Here’s the full list for the Chiefs:
- QB Patrick Mahomes
- WR Tyreek Hill
- TE Travis Kelce
- LT Eric Fisher
- FB Anthony Sherman
- OLB Dee Ford
So that makes for five offensive players and just a single defensive player for the Chiefs. Mahomes, Fisher, Sherman, and Ford are all first time selections to Pro Bowl. 2018 marks the third year for Hill and the fourth year for Kelce.
Obviously the team has their hopeful eyes on the Super Bowl which would make it so they don’t have to participate in this game. However, the Pro Bowl would certainly be a nice consolation prize for some Chiefs who’ve had great 2018 seasons.
Here are some stats for the Chiefs’ Pro Bowlers so far in 2018 with two games to go:
QB Patrick Mahomes
346-of-516 for 4,543 yards passing, 45 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 114.8
55 attempts, 238 yards rushing, 2 touchdowns
WR Tyreek Hill
78 receptions, 1,304 yards receiving, 11 touchdowns
19 attempts, 119 yards rushing
TE Travis Kelce
93 receptions, 1,220 yards receiving, 10 touchdowns
OLB Dee Ford
45 total tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles
