I love what I do for a living. I can’t remember ever wanting to do anything else. I feel blessed every day that I get to play with my brother and for an organization like the Seahawks.
Being a part of this team and winning games like we did last Sunday is awesome. I was lucky enough to experience something else that was pretty awesome Sunday before the game. I got to meet a young fan that I had something in common with.
He only had one hand; he was born without his left.
He was wearing a Lions jacket on the field, but when he took it off, he was wearing my jersey. That was so cool. We spoke for a few moments. I told him to live out your dreams. For me, playing football in the NFL is everything I have ever wanted to do. It was my dream.
I told him he could live out his dreams if he puts his mind to it.
I’ve been so fortunate to meet many great kids across the country. I have told them, like I told this brave little guy, to never let anybody tell you what you can and cannot do - you control whether your dreams become a reality.
I say, there are no limits.
I really appreciate the kids that want to meet me and share their inspiring stories. I only hope I do half as much for them as they do for me.
