It’s been a fun season so far, the regular season is over and we are blessed to be in a position to make a championship run. We have a tough journey in front of us but I’m confident in this team to give it everything we got to make it happen. It wasn’t the prettiest win on Sunday but wins don’t have to be pretty. You have to expect those type of grind it out games against a division rival – the good teams come out on top.
I was dying to get back out there after I tweaked my ankle in the 1st quarter but Coach didn't want to risk me injuring it any worse. I saw my brothers battling out there and I was frustrated that I couldn’t help – that was the toughest part. But I knew Akeem would take care of business. I understand the decision to keep me on the sideline and I’m proud of my team for getting that win.
We got Dallas this week and they are not the same team we played back in September. They added a new weapon with Amari and just like us, they are hungry to make that playoff run. We will study how we were able to contain them last time but we expect them to give us different looks. They’re not the same team. They’re better. But we feel like we’re better too. Russ and the offense knows what they need to do. It’s our job on D to make sure they have all the opportunities possible to put points on the board. It’s playoff time – we’re ready and the 12s are ready. #GoHawks
