Falcons Season Outlook

Falcons Season Outlook

Like every team at this time of year, we have high hopes for our season. We are just two years removed from the Super Bowl, and since then, we have become better. We’ve been working hard as a team and getting better every day.

As for the offense, I think it will be a lot better this year. Coach Sark is more familiar with us and our skill sets, and we’re more familiar with him and his expectations. That knowledge goes a long way when you think about it. Because of that, I think the our offense will operate much smoother and productive than we did last year.

Our practices have looked strong. Now we work on things because Coach Sark thinks we can do them better. We have the right guys running plays because they run them better. Julio, Calvin, Justin, and I have been working on perfecting our timing with Matty—especially in the red zone. We know where Matt can put the ball and I know what I can do once the ball is in the air.

The extra work has been good for everybody.

Looking ahead, we know we are capable of greatness. Our offense is loaded with weapons. We have an MVP winner at quarterback, the best wide receiver in the game in Julio, and one of the most promising rookies with Calvin. Our tight end Austin Hooper is ready to breakout this season too. I’m feeling better than ever, and we have two of the most versatile running backs in the NFL in our backfield.

With this group of offensive weapons—man, pick your poison.

Last year didn’t end nearly the way we wanted and we know we can do better. Avoiding a Super Bowl hangover and making the playoffs was good but we didn’t finish. We have the tools, talents, and ability to achieve greatness. Now is the time to show everyone the Falcons are still one of the best teams in this league.
