This off season I got some good work in, just trying to build toward a big season the team. Obviously last year was a disappointing year for us but that is what makes minicamp so exciting. It is a time to gel with the guys and everyone start fresh. This year we have to take advantage of opportunities and not get behind the 8 ball like last year. We set the tone in the off season workouts and that is to work with a sense of urgency, especially when you come off a 5-11 year. Our roster doesn’t match our record and we are out to prove it.
Our leader on offense, Jameis, is back to 100% from his injury. He was able to spend a lot of time rehabbing and getting healthy this off season. You can see it’s a process but his strength is back and he is getting his accuracy back too. We are taking it one day at a time, trying to get back into game mode. We got a big season ahead of us and that’s what we are looking forward too.
We got a great group of guys at wide receiver this year, one of the best is the league. We have to make big plays when our number is called and with the talent we have, I know anything is possible. No matter where it is that the coaches line us up, we will be ready.
The reality is whenever I get an opportunity to get the ball in my hands and make a play that what I live for. Trying to take advantage of the opportunities, and make more out of those opportunities. I want to contribute to this team, make big plays and light up the scoreboard. I want to be a complete receiver and help the young guys that might not know some things. I've played a lot of football, going into my 11th year, so I have a lot to teach. Whatever it is I am called on to do that is what I am here for.
